Vivo Medical is Looking for Digital Innovations to Automate Its Daily Operations  

In recent years, the healthcare industry has undergone a remarkable digital transformation, revolutionizing the way healthcare services are delivered and managed. This trend towards digitization has significantly improved patient care, operational efficiency, and access to medical information.

Amid this global trend, our client, Vivo Medical, found that their completely manual way of managing processes was time consuming, led to inconsistencies in the data and increased the possibility of error due to the human factor. 
The Vivo Medical team was looking for a vendor that could create a system from scratch. Important facts that influenced the selection process were the requirement that the system support the Georgian language, which was a challenging task for European vendors and they were unable to fulfill it. In addition, the affordability and customizability of the system we offered was a value advantage, as the client required an individual approach.

“The developed system allows our client, Vivo Medical, to combine and organize all medical processes of the pathology laboratory. The system provides a high degree of automation and standardization of the pathology laboratory, reduces the influence of the human factor on the process and reduces the probability of errors in material processing and formulation of medical conclusions”.

Since the system was built from scratch, there were many implementation stages. Firstly, we conducted a full market analysis, diagnosed the client's business processes, and coordinated them with each other.

It took us 4-5 months to prepare for the project. The preparatory stage included analyzing the client's business processes, creating a technical assignment, and agreeing on all the details with the client. In august 2022, we signed a contract, formed a team of 7 highly qualified specialists and started working.

In March 2023, we launched a fully operational system, which means that the entire development and implementation process took us only 6 months, including all the customization, translation of the system into Georgian, hiring and onboarding of new employees, and training of existing staff. Since the launch, we have been supporting the client until now and will continue to do so.

The most challenging part that we faced in the process was the correct construction of system interfaces for further convenient work of all company employees. It was necessary to implement a convenient display of several objects (sample, cassette, slide) in one order. The client also required to develop a separate functionality so that the order could have several payers. The Evomed team has developed a convenient wizard that allows employees to add the required number of payers, split their payment shares, and immediately provide the required discount. Another our development was the convenient functionality of writing a medical report, in which data is collected throughout the process and doctors only have to add their conclusions in the end.
